    I joined it a while ago; dedicated to solar system research and more. Carl Sagan was one of the founders.

    @Orion25 Ok cool!

    This shifted my view for my 2023 astronomy program, I found in your website, The planetary society, they have a calendar of event, I read a couple more event calender's for 2023 to really update myself seriously about what's happening in the sky.

    Because I keep missing the events.. I bought a small calendar and transferring the most interesting and significant stuff..

    So thanks for showing your sticker, it completely influenced me. :) 2023 is pretty bad so far.. with a total of zero observations. :(

    Don't lose hope, Neb. The year is just starting. Plenty of good observing nights yet to come! :)

    @Orion25 It happened last night at last!!! First observation of 2023 with my 8" mirror and memorable too! Very cold night but the seeing conditions were great at my remote spot, very calm, no lights, no cars, no planes, no people. I had a good observation of Uranus with a well defined disk, Mars, Jupiter, the massively incredible Orion nebula, Orion's M78 nebula, the Rosette and The Christmas tree cluster!

    Slow start but a very strong one at the same time :)

    @Orion25 yes, it's well and truly started now!

    I think a lot about Venus also, to look t it once and again and trying a couple of filters on it, as well as using the 12" mirror in hope of capturing better cloud shades.

    It's not quite high enough at sunset yet. Mercury also, i want to see it at sunrise, there is a date of the greatest elongation, around 6:00 and 7:30 in the morning here, a very interesting observation range for Mercury.
