covid swab.jpg Yesterday was Gina and My 22nd anniversary. We went Kayaking on picturesque Lake James, NC. On the way home, we passed a COVID testing sight, looked at each other, and said "lets do it!". So we were tested for Corona on our anniversary. Very memorable. Even more memorable is the first image we captured of Comet NEOWISE. NC weather has been the worst in a long while, but last night the clouds thinned enough to get the image seen below. NIKON D5500, 18-140 zoom lens set at 24mm, and one 6 second image, set at ISO1600.

    Memorable Anniversary indeed. covid comet.jpg

Test results came back 4 days later. We are negative! That doesn't make me feel any better about the clouds here in NC though

another image of the Comet, but from back of my house. Looks like it could be somewhere in France!

Whoa, that's another great pic of the comet. Nice composition there (and a nice house). It does look like a French setting :)
