    Could someone please help this newbie with proper settings on my dslr to see the rings of saturn with my etx125. Thanks all.

    Hi, bbradford. My experience with using a DSLR to capture planets is that you get a small image. I would suggest getting a space camera. I have a ZWO ASI 224MC and an Orion 5MP StarShoot Solar System camera that I use with a Celestron 2x barlow to capture video of the planets that I later process in Registax 6 to achieve a final stacked image. If you use a DSLR, you will need to experiment with the exposure settings and see what works for you. Make sure you have good focus and find the right exposure balance so you capture detail but don't overexpose the image.
