Amazing night

    I came out of the movies and saw STARS!!!! I ran home and grabbed the XT6. I started with Saturn, then moved to M20, M8, M16, M17 & M24. The SvBonny UHC does help a bit there. No filters on Saturn. 15mm BST was my best view.

    Next I moved to big bright Mars!!! It was very bright. Maybe some polar ice caps or maybe my imagination, with an 82A. Awesome view either way. I used my 6mms Celestron Omni plossl on Mars @ 200x,it was the best view of the night for mars. 25mm BST for all Nebula.

    Oh, collimating makes a big difference! Thanks for all the help there. Now I can't sleep.

    Oh, now I am most definitely going to buy the 7mm Celestron X-Cel LX!!

    That's an incredible sector you looked at, over Sagittarius. I can't wait to go look at that place myself soon.

    Seems like you had a great observation especially if you want to buy more stuff after it. That's usually after a great observation I want to upgrade too!
