So my girlfriend just picked up this small piece of meteorite from a little shop here in Los Angeles and she was wondering how one would go about authenticating it.

Supposedly it is from Argentina and it definitely looks like ones I've seen before but I am by no means experienced at all in this.

Maybe you guys could shed some light on some quick tests I could use or point me in the right direction.
