    I couldn't sleep, so I grabbed my binos for a super quick jaunt out to see:
    • The Great Orion nebula
    • Pleiades
    • Hyades / Aldebaran
    I guess you could say those are my favorite quick views. Something about them just makes me feel good.

    :)

    Agreed! And I would also add Melotte 20 in Perseus. :D

    Been clouded over since Jupiter & Venus began their dance together. And likely will remain so - until the planet & Moon dance finishes up this week week sometime.

    Typical.....<grumble, grumble...>

    All good choices for quick great views. I would also put Kembles Cascade in there for me. :)

    Oh yeah! Kemble's Cascade is always a favorite - sparkling string of astro-pearls!

    Now back to my <grumbling> - the sky remains totally blocked. It's like someone bought a new telescope of late.....

    <grumble!>

    I keep hearing about Kimble's cascade. I found it in one of my books, buy I haven't found it in the night sky yet. It was clear last night, bout I was exhausted. Maybe tonight will bring clear Sky's and I can view this gem.

    I did get up early enough to see Jupiter through the trees. Bare eyeballs. I may take the binoculars to the park one morning to get a binoculars view.

    Just split Albireo! Wow, what a beauty.

    Spent a little time with the Double Double and the little double in Delphini (Gamma Delphini). The crescent moon a couple of hours ago was also a good reminder for me not to neglect the beautiful objects next door.
