Anyone note the three huge sunspots which where in the middle of the sun a few days back?they made a dolphin shape but have slipped around the rear of the solar disk now moving in a n.w.to s.e.direction. I used an 8x25 Opticron monocular to observe them and thousand oaks solar filter. The thousand oaks seems tougher than the baader solar film but is harder to fix to the front using the lenses cap ring as it is quite stiff.the baader tends to get little bright spots in it where it is folded which could let magnified sunlight into your eye.......not good!
