Dave from Vermont turned me on to this site and I expect to have a good time gathering tips to improve . I'm a disabled amateur astronomer that started his RGB imaging journey last November. Now that the heat and humidity is starting to leave , I can get back to compiling data on the brighter dso's and work towards completing a final image with my Po'mans imaging rig Group1 m42-2Group1 m42=2 Scaled.jpg

Thanks yall for the warm welcome, I'm hoping for longer clear skies than I had tonight. Temps. were cooler tonight for once this Vulcanic Summer I received my surprise today and tried it out but, it was a fail. Everything new is always harder until I get the distance and orientation just right, the it's waiting on that darn sky to relax. I collected some ccd data on Saturn , tried Mars before it sunk in the BA Oak tree and did a precision align and took off to M31 and before I could center it on the sensor , here comes that sea of clouds that held me up from getting an earlier start tonight.

Welcome aboard! Dave got me here, too. Supercool dude that Dave is! Love your pic of the Orion Nebula; I got a few myself that I took with my old Nikon D50 through my 127mm Mak. What kind of rig do you have?

    Regards,
    Reggie

...there goes that memory thing again....

I knew I replied before, my sincere apologies. I just wanted to connect to another challenged observer.

What's that old saying? "Misery loves company?" Well - I'm also disabled. Need to get to lawyer and get some money from the government. I'm just glad I have every astro-goodie 10 people would ever need for astronomy pursuits. So I hear you all!

I have a nasty mixture of advancing forms of arthritis, and neuropathy brought about by the incompetence of some low-level medical-technitions who failed to submit reports to the physicians - too much trouble for them, so they threw them in the trash-can!

It's nice to know I'm in good company! Fare thee well, my friends.

    Dave

Yes, we can relate to each other in a way others might not understand.
