    This looks like a promising new forum for us junkies. My name is Tom, but you can call me Turk. I'm involved in restoring classic telescopes especially Cave. I also have authored the Cave website and have tried to capture some of the history of Tom Cave and his telescopes.

    Lots of projects going on right now including recreating an Alvan Clark tripod from 1916 for my 5" Clark, restoring a Cave 16" observatory cassegrain (can you say big!) and redoing a 6" Jaegers F/10.

    So hello to everyone. I hope this forum brings a refreshing approach to the discussion of all things telescope.

    Welcome Turk. Glad to have you here. I used to have a Cave 8" Lightweight Deluxe. Sold it a long time ago though.
