    I am the caretaker of the Pearl 228mm F10.6 Astro Physics Triplet Roland made in 1985... Also I have been collecting telescopes for 20 years... Debbie, (avegirl, and I want to thank AgenaAstro and the folks who started this new site. I am done with CN and their Micro Management of the great site they used to be.     Oh my goodness! What a gorgeous AP triplet and mount Clint. A 9" refractor...drool, drool, drool. It absolutely dwarfs the second telescope in the picture which I am sure is at least a 6 incher if not larger.

    Thanks for the Kudos guys! Harry the little scope is a Meade 10" F4 on a G11 I have my Tak 130 on there most of the time. I feel lucky to have been able to build something like this!

    Not to be outdone by Clint "Caveman" Whitman, I'm attaching a pic of my first big refractor telescope - all 28mm of it! This pic was taken in November or December of 1957, and, yes, that's me at the tender age of 14. I found the ad for this scope in Boys Life or Popular Mechanics magazine. It was sold by Criterion in Connecticut and I still have the instruction manual. TELESCOPE - Broomstick in backyard, Lakewood.jpg
