Has anyone seen the new works of art,so called, depicting the constellations. They're in fields and in Italy I believe, the picture I saw was of Ursa major.the stars are depicted using blazing white LEDs, pointing skywards so ironically these pseudo constellations will help destroy the views of the real ones.why would anyone want this nonsense when they have real constellations above their heads?another very bad work of light art I read about was next to Ayers rock in Australias northern territory. Some artist filled up a huge tract of desert with glowing electric flowers (flower power?).Im hoping that they have gone now as it was a few years back that I read about the flowers.another work, but not of art,I saw of environmental destruction in an Australian national park was during my visit to the blue mountains national park, more of a rift in the ground than mountains, huge floodlights where aimed at some of the rocky outcrops around the town of katomba.my map of the area said that they went off at midnight but like most floodlights they where lacking an off switch and where on all night, of course they shouldn't be there at all as there are plentiful daylight hours to look at mountains, buildings, etc..another bad one,but to my regret I've never been to cape town, is cape towns table mountain is floodlit at weekends!again in a national park, how much does it cost to floodlight a 3100' mountain?a lot!

All nonsense @kevan hubbard, I would like to know what's wrong with people using lights at night for no purpose. They probably don't know what they are doing.
