Hello everyone. I am happy to have another astronomy forum to visit in order to learn more about equipment, objects and observing experiences. I have been looking up since I got a 60mm Jason refractor when I was about 12. I've had quite a few scopes during my lifetime and currently own six, ranging from a Takahashi FS-102 refractor to a 10" GSO Dob. I would classify myself as a casual observer, visual only. I prefer alt-az mounts although sometimes I get the urge to buy a go-to mount since the light pollution is getting worse here, and tracking would certainly be a nice option to have. I live in southeast Louisiana.
