First clear night in about a week and I jumped at the chance to gaze at Mars and gather some image data! Thanks to the Virtual Planet Atlas software @Ed D shared a few weeks ago, I was able to predict the transits of Olympus Mons and Solis Lacus across the globe. Great seeing and transparency, however, visually, detail was quite soft. Still can't see Olympus Mons in the eyepiece, but Solis Lacus was evident. The image data revealed much more clarity:

Having captured Olympus, the Eye, and Syrtis, my Mars imaging sessions this iteration are complete. I can now focus on visual for the duration, lol!

    Clear skies,
    Reggie ;)

cool stuff there, Olympus looks much like my own observation, a pale round spot.
