Thanks. The 4 to 6 weeks to get my new scope will seem like forever to me but, I am so looking forward to using it.

Considering we are heading towards a total solar-eclipse in August - I'm surprised you're only looking looking at 4 - 6 weeks!

Please do write-up a 'First-Light' report when the day arrives -

Dave - in the clouds for now

I am surprised myself. I can only hope that the scope comes when they said and that the weather is good. I will post First-Light report when the day comes.

Congratulations! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The sun should be substantially eclipsed from your location this August and will still put on a fine show. Here's a preview:

I will be watching the eclipse with solar binoculars. It would be nice to view with my solar scope but I do not think that it will be here in time. I find that when purchasing something on line it seldom arrives when they say it will. Who knows anything is possible.

I haven't had a problem with delays in the delivery of goods purchased on-line - assuming I'm dealing with a reputable seller(s). However.....

I have quite a few relatives up in Ontario, and have done a good amount of business in Canada. And Canada Post is always very slow to deliver to a buyer, and transfer to US Postal Service for delivery here in the States. Seems it's always going on strike, or something - that results in prolonged turn-around times,

So I fear you're fears of a slow arrival of your solar-scope may well be justified. As much as I'm generally appalled by our governmental agencies' actions (or lack thereof) here in the USA, I'll give credit where it's due: The USPS does an amazing job!

May you have a pleasant surprise -

    Dave - your neighbor

Yes indeed I have had a great deal or experience with Canada Post. They seem to deliver when they want to.
