Not sure what I'll be viewing tonight. I think I'll change my approach a bit. I'm going to position my fat behind in a comfy chair, aim at a constatation and explore the heck out of it.

Pegasus maybe? Who knows. Will report later. Here's wishing clear Sky's, and comfortable temps with no bugs to all.

    :)

Well. Clouds have snuck up on me. I'll try again Early. Maybe Orion & Taurus, with a peak at Mars & Venus.

Good night and dark clear Sky's to all. :)

Temperatures here are dropping like a meteorite on Chelyabinsk.

New eyepieces should crawl in today via United Pot Service - as a friend of mine calls 'UPS.' Then I'll have an excuse to get my big-bag o' feathers out for another Vermont winter.....

I've seen M78 with a 90mm f/11 Mak and my ST80. There will be a Last Quarter Moon in the vicinity tonight though.

I couldn't even see the moon this morning. Lying weatherman. I'll be on the road with work for the next 4 days. Hopefully I'll have clear Sky's next week.

I got a butcher's at the Moon with my 90mm Mak while it was rising last night at about 23:00 British Summer Time. Seeing wasn't too good at that altitude though.

I even saw a twilight Saturn earlier.

    Good luck. It's a nice autumn/winter target. I'd consider the 40mm Plossl!

And a few filters for the Moon, perhaps Mak?

The weather up here in Podunk is mostly cloudy with showers. Warmer than it should be though. And that's what's behind the unsettled weather we're getting.

Back to the Fake News! Fake News!

    Yeah, filters rock!

    Well, unless they're fake filters.

Fog rolled in thick. Hazzard of living in the Smoky Mountains.

I used to live in the Cynon Valley (Mid Glamorgan). I was on top of the valley though. Sometimes I could look out of my window and see RAF Hawk trainers flying at high speed through the valley early in the morning below me.

Fog wasn't a problem, but rain was.

The US Navy use it as a trainer as well.
