Manufacturer Description
Coronado CEMAX 12mm Eyepiece (1.25") - for use with Coronado H-alpha Solar Telescopes and filters. Specifically designed for use at H-alpha (or Ha) wavelengths, this specialty eyepiece uses optimized coatings to enhance contrast, minimize glare and also affords excellent contrast for planetary viewing. Please note that this eyepiece is NOT a filter and for Solar observing must be used in conjunction with a Coronado Ha Solar Telescope or telescope with a Coronado or similar filter set appropriately and safely mounted.

Provides nice views with my PST
Pros: Cons: Comments:I purchased this to provide a higher power image with my Coronado PST than the stock 18mm Plossl supplied. While I have not compared the 12mm CEMAX to a comparable focal length eyepiece, I'm happy with the views this eyepiece delivers.

Pros:Lightweight,Strong Construction,Compact,Quality Lenses,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:I don't really see a huge difference in useing this in my PST over a good general purpose plossl, say a TeleVue. However it performs well within the limits of the PST's limited 40mm aperture. Maybe in a larger solar scope the difference would be more noticeable.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
