2.0 Not quite what I would have expected...

      Pros:

      Inexpensive, works to some degree.

      Cons:

Doesn't block enough non-O3 wavelengths, questionable threads.

      Comments:

I picked up this O3 filter used on a bit of a whim - I wasn't ready to put down a lot of money for a better filter. I had trouble attaching the filter to some of our eyepieces - the threads would not fit properly.

As I understand it, O3 filters normally have an extremely narrow bandpass (at least quality ones do), blocking out everything except two spectral lines that are common amongst nebulae. This filter doesn't completely block other wavelengths, but does increase contrast a bit when viewing nebulae. Viewing the Orion nebula, I thought that it did bring out some extra details.

Overall, I would suggest spending the extra coin on a more quality filter. Some may actually like that it allows other wavelengths through, but I think that an O3 filter could do more. A possible compromise for those with smaller aperture telescopes.
