I would buy another one !
Pros: Cons: Comments:It really makes it easy to use it on a dobsonian telescope. It keeps me from cranning my neck when looking along the telescope tube .

Jan 23, 2016Telrad 4'' Riser
Pros:Strong Construction,Lightweight,Easy to Use
Cons:None
Comments:The Telrad 4'' riser is the best idea since sliced bread. It places the telrad high enough to make positioning your head effortless with less neck strain. I can now move the big scope around and not have to bend down as far, having the reticle far away from the tube makes finding objects much easier. I almost fell off the ladder using my old telrad base which was flush with the tube. This way the reticle is better positioned and I don't have to lean over as much which is much safer.

Oct 10, 2015Great addition
Pros:Easy to Use
Cons:None
Comments:I needed to add some height to my Telrad because it must be mounted close to the focuser. This extension allows me to comfortably move from sighting with the Telrad to viewing through the focuser. The base is lighter than improvising a block of wood for the same purpose. Looks better too.

Aug 18, 2015Works fine.
Pros:Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:Works great to bring the Telrad finder up another 4inches. Just back out the set screws all the way on the Telrad base, take out the Telrad finder. Put the riser on the base, tighten the set screws. Back out the set screws on the top of the riser, and put in the Telrad finder. Tighten the set screws, and you're done, no problems. Relieves me from having to bend over and stoop down to sight in the finder!!

Sep 19, 2014Telrad riser
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight,Strong Construction
Cons:Too Tight For Telrad,Needs To Be 3" Not 2 Or 4
Comments:This improves the use of the Telrad on my 12" dob, but a 3" riser would have been perfect for me. The Telrad fits very tightly into the slot, to the point where you have to force it in and hope the telrad legs do not break.....maybe I need to file the slot a little bigger, shame you have to modify a new item though.

Sep 7, 2014My neck likes it!
Pros:Accurate,Easy to Use,Lightweight,Works great,Strong Construction
Cons:None for me
Comments:Lot's easier to look thru the Telrad now, not as much bending down. My old back likes that!

Apr 30, 20144" riser
Pros:Lightweight,Compact,Easy to Use,Accurate
Cons: Comments:Works perfectly. A must have for a smooth running observing session. Like the other reviewer stated, I too had to put my cheek against the tube of my 8" dob to use the Telrad. This fixes the neck strain.

Jan 29, 2014Relief for the cheek
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:Adding the 4" Telrad riser to my 8-inch dob was a great purchase. Without it I had to press my cheek on the optical tube to see through the Telrad. Not fun for the neck or back! And in cold weather not fun for the cheeks! This riser makes the Telrad very comfortable to use.
