TEC 140 mm f/7 apo triplet oil spaced
Pros:All around refractor with ability to view any object both visually as well as for imaging.
Cons:None that I can think of.
Comments:Yuri Petrunin from TEC in Golden, Colorado has been producing some very fine refractors running from the 140 ED Triplet to a 160 ED Triplet, a Fluorite Triplet, a 180 ED Triplet and a 200 mm Fluorite Triplet. All of these are oil-spaced in the classic Zeiss method.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
My 140 Apo at f/7 has been a joy especially with the FeatherTouch focuser that can handle a very large CCD camera and filter wheel without flexure. Imaging in town, narrow-band objects as well as viewing planets with the Nagler 3-6 Zoom makes this an all around favorite.Sort by
