I can't say enough about this fine instrument. The optics are outstanding and the craftsmanship is unparalleled. This scope is built like a tank, the focuser and threaded spacers are rock solid. What makes this an imaging system is that all your imaging equipment is threaded solidly to the focuser with no chance for movement or slop. Another aspect is that vignetting is not present. The NPs are perfectly arranged for imaging. I have imaged with many different scopes and my best images are the ones taken with the NP127is. Recently a magazine (and professional photographer) made a visit and asked for some of my images, the ones they liked the best were taken with NP127is. I did not get a chance to try auto focus, but friends love it.
