Theta Lyrae, a striking carbon red giant in the constellation of Lyra, not too far from the "double-double":

Mars was parked in the middle of the Beehive:

    Albireo always delights:

Mizar & Alcor in the tail of the Great Bear; you can split Mizar in this image:

All images were taken at prime focus using my Nikon D3200 and 127mm Mak.

    Regards,
    Reggie:D

Made a typo there. I should have referred to the red carbon star in Lyra as T Lyrae instead of Theta Lyrae. Theta is an orange star but it is not burning carbon, and it's visible to the naked eye from a dark sky site at mag 4.5.

Great stuff Reggie, makes me wish I could get out there. I did see a naked eye 'Strawberry Moon', not an actual strawberry in sight though. I did have a strawberry milkshake later, however. :D

    :p Strawberry milkshakes are fun!

Got a good shot of the moon after the thin cloud dissipated. It was all fuzzy there for several hours until finally after 1 a.m. things cleared a bit (it should read June 4 but I used the date the moon officially became full in my time zone at 11:42 EDT June 3):

Not a strawberry in sight, but it was looking milky there for awhile

Beautiful photos, Reggie. Wish I had some strawberries to put in my Cheerios. :)

Erratum in the original post: the Mars image was not shot at prime focus but using a zoom lens on my Nikon D3200 at 300x.
