Is that the carpenters or a remake?sort of sounds like her(forget her name Karen carpenter?). Too vast a gulf twixt the stars I'm afraid unless there's some way round it.folding space as in dune is my favourite.

It's the original, the Carpenter's was a cover. I've been space folded a few times, I blame Butty Bach.

If we see the Japanese preparing a space-mission to`Oumuamua, I hope they don't bring chopsticks, knife, fork, etc. I want to meet the 'Visitors' alive & kicking - not on a dinner-plate.....

I still think that could be a beat-up old spaceship. Possibly a wreck from some trans-planetary war. Operative Word: 'Could.' To think otherwise is sheer, unbridled stupidity.

Or it could be one of 'ours' from the future that went through a time-warping wormhole.

ps - I Found some more star-charts! Off to check 'em out. If good - watch the TRIATLAS thread for an 'Update.'

I might see a real banshee as I'm off to mulrany, co.Mayo, Ireland, in January. Take in the Mayo dark skies park.mind getting from Dublin to Westport is easy 5 trains a day, after that 1 bus a day to mulrany, looks like I'll have to walk to the ballycroy national park, 8km north of mulrany.

Find you natural cadence, and swing your arms. This increases your endurance.

Dave - who used to do 20 miles with a 60lb. pack.

Well, it was inevitable that the BBC would do their star of Bethlehem Xmas special, so it gives me something to watch at 23:00 tonight as the stars won't be out, that's for sure.

'Christmas special which explores the potential causes of the Star of Bethlehem; an idea which has fascinated astronomers for centuries. The Sky at Night team explores the possibilities, investigates the nature of the phenomena, and looks through historical records, in an attempt to reconstruct events in the night sky two thousand years ago. A list of candidates includes supernovae, comets, meteors and the unusual alignments of giant planets.' ~ Radio Times

And not one mention of Siouxsie! Of course, you'll have to be in the UK to see it. Although it should be on BBC iPlayer shortly afterwards.

Very 70s!martin Luther is said to have regarded sitting on the porcelain Buddha as a place of great meditation just like the fellow in this video! "Here I stand(shouldn't that be sit?),I can do nothing else."

I've always found Brigit Forsyth's Peter Pan costume oddly disturbing in this 1974 Christmas special.
