The 36mm Baader Hyperion-Aspheric eyepiece is currently on sale at Agena Astro. I'm considering purchasing it for my f/7.5 120mm refractor to sweep the Milky Way for DSOs. Does anyone own this eyepiece and have any critical thoughts about it? I currently enjoy a 27mm Panoptic for this purpose but would like the extra true field of view that the Hyperion offers. (Their apparent fields of view are about the same: 68* vs 72*.)

Thanks in advance for your opinions or comments,
    LewC

    Hi!

    I have one. I used for Refractor 150mm F/8.

Hyperion Aspheric has superior performance than GSO Superview. The best possible picture would be with a Panoptic. 35mm. Stricter observers will notice a low level of aberrations. Good with nothing special.
