I know the feeling. I have a drawer-full of Meade 1.25" somethings I try to give away.

I usually use them for dust plugs.
I realized yesterday evening that I no longer have a good 1.25" diagonal so need to find a good one.

I bought the GSO Dielectric 1.25" diagonal. I highly recommend these. I was very pleasently surprised by it's performance. And Agena has them for a very good price. It's where I picked up mine. This is the reason I've stated elsewhere I'd give a go with their 2" GSO, if the need should arise. Though that Stellarvue is mighty nice looking - you rat! :D

    Upgraded Orion Amici.

I took the helical focuser and nosepiece from a borked WO diagonal. This Orion diagonal might have a resin body (the base plate is metal) but it does the job quite admirably. I have several all metal 1.25" diagonals, all of them are Amicis. I had considered a TV Everbrite at one time. Everyone seems out of stock though. I can't tell the difference between a mirror or a prism on a Mak or SCT anyway. I still can't really see the roof of an Amici either.

I was just looking at the new APM 2" prism diagonal. A really long 188mm lightpath!

I am looking to purchase a 1.25" diagonal though.... :D
It is a very long lightpath though!
My Zeiss/ Baader 2" prism is only a bit over 100mm!

Thanks, posting a link is sufficient Mak lol.
I have been considering the Baader since I prefer prisms to mirrors most times.

Baader being a German outfit, the costs for Baader over in Europe and the UK is generally less expensive that it is here in the US. The trade-off is they have have to pay more for TeleVue® over there.

I just like posting screenshots lol. You can't really go wrong with Baader stuff.

I agree, I use quite a bit of it already but there is nothing wrong with "shopping around", though I am not much of a TeleVue fan.

I have some TeleVue stuff, the build quality is very good, although you can get things virtually as good for much cheaper.
