    A friend sent me this link. Wonderful picture full of foreboding. When the Moon is just rising if you use a telephoto lens to capture something in the foreground where the Moon is rising, it compresses the perspective and makes for some really intrguing shots. We need more Moon shots like this :) Not good about the wildfires in England though - this is a photo from there a few days ago :(

    I'd say that's a 'great photo' - but it's really disturbing, and your assay of it's being 'foreboding' is spot-on. Ineffable could be tossed on it, too.

    I believe the fires are in the Pennines and moorland near Manchester. There are vast national parks there and in heatwaves large uncontrollable fires are not unknown.
