Manufacturer Description
This 2-power (2x) nose piece barlow allows you to double to power of your eyepieces when used with William Optics binoviewers. It also makes it easier to reach focus with most telescopes. It can be screwed onto 1.25" eyepieces as well as binoviewers. For even more magnification, it can be placed after the optional binoviewer extender.

Great Addition to my WO Binoviewers
Pros: Cons: Comments:I have a 72mm fast f5 short tube telescope with excellent optics. I recently had acquired a pair of WO binoviewers but in order to reach focus I had to use the supplied 1.6X barlow in front of the 1.25" diagonal. The WO 2X barlow allows me to reach focus when used in the nose of the binos with either a 1.25" or 2" diagonal. It shows perfect magnification with a clear image and pleasant contrast. My main subject to observe is the moon.

Jun 2, 2016Can be used as an excellent regular 1.6x barlow
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight,Quality Lenses,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:I decided to give the 2x Williams optics binoviewer barlow a try as a regular barlow. I have attached it to the Blue Fireball 1.25" to 2" adapter offered by Agena. This is the adapter that allows you to use 2" eyepieces in 1.25" focusers.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I have directly measured total field using a ruler on a wall with my various eyepieces and this combination of barlow and adapter gives 1.57x-1.65x magnification. Used this way it will require a lot of infocus but all my eyepieces reach focus with my 120mm ED APO.
What I love about this barlow is that it is very sharp and does not introduce any aberrations to the view. It also does not vignette with any 1.25" eyepieces I have used with it.
A 1.6x 1.25" barlow is hard to find so using the WO binoviewer barlow this way adds a nice option into my eyepiece lineup. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com

Jul 27, 2013Great little piece
Pros:Lightweight,Accurate,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Quality Lenses
Cons: Comments:I bought this to use on 16mm and 19mm Orion / Astro tech Flat Field eyepieces. Both of these eyepieces show lots of coma from the mirror, but when screwing on this piece to the bottom of each of these eyepieces resulted in very flat fields right to the edges and made them into shorter FL eyepieces.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I used to own a binoviwer and used the binoviewer in an Orion Apex 127 Mak-Cass. This piece was used in conjunction with the binoviewer, but in order to use the binoviewer in my 10" F/4.7 reflector, I had to use a regular 2 inch barlow to reach focus which this piece would not do.This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 30, 2013Small but powerful 2X Barlow
Pros:Compact,Quality Lenses,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:The William Optics 2X barlow has been one of my best purchases I had made. I use this 2x barlow a lot for CCD solar imaging, the optical quality is really good and its size is really compact compare to other barlows. The nice thing about it is that it has the standard threads that will fit most 1.25" barrels. A big plus if you want to increase the magnification of your eyepiece collection. William optics is known for their quality scopes and eyepieces and this item is one of them. I only wish one day they'll make a 2" version of this barlow.
