Canon IS 15x50 Image Stabilized Binos
Pros:"UD" glass; excellent coatings, excellent build. Image flat to edge. Comes with padded case.
Cons:Heavy to hold too long and you need to buy batteries for this.
Comments:Possibly the best quality optics I've used in a pair of 50mm binos. Flat to the edge and a wide FOV considering the 15x50 design. These binos can be hand-held for a little while but they are a bit heavier than the usual 10x50's out there. Arm fatigue can start after around 5 minutes depending how you view with them. Sitting back on an outdoor lounge chair with arm rests is the best way to observe comfortably and with the IS on, the views are amazing. They rival 60mm objectives in seeing, sharpness and their wide flat field. They have a threaded hole for mounting on a camera mount for daytime use when used for birding or even if you just want to enjoy the night sky and relax without holding them yourself. Not too many high quality binos include that feature. The last one that had a camera mount threaded feature was my TAK Binos, which were amazing, and heavy to hold for too long. I also own a pair of Canon IS 10x30's and their quality surpasses standard 7x50 or some 10x50's for sharpness, contrast and excellent color correction. Those are light to hand hold also. These are also excellent and well worth the money.
