Celestron CG-3 Equatorial Mount
Pros:Inexpensive and very durable; Tray is a nice feature
Cons:Only takes smaller scopes; no go-to features possible.
Comments:This was my first non-go to mount for my AT1010 80mm refractor telescope. It is a durable, rigid German equatorial mount with a very good wooden tripod. Designed as an excellent and inexpensive upgrade option when you are ready to move to a more sturdier mount on a beginning telescope. Stats: R.A. and DEC setting circles, a latitude scale, slow-motion controls and an accessory tray are included. I love it as it handles my refractor without a bit of trouble. For your information, Celestron uses this mount with the Firstscope 80EQ and 114 telescopes. Price new is $149.95 but you can get it on the used market for much less.
