I had heavy smudges on
Pros: Cons: Comments:I had heavy smudges on my lens eyepiece. It took several swirls to remove the smudge,. The final test will be when I use it some dark night to see if it's totally clean or not. But I am sure it'll be better than before!

Jan 30, 2018Usefull Companion.
Pros: Cons: Comments:LensPen is a usefull companion at my walkaround photographys and night sky observations. My camera lens, my telescope eyepieces and filters, and my binoculars lens are always ready to use. After quickly blow with Giotto's rubber blower, the LensPen is ready to clean any skin grease or salinity at shore. Lens absolutly neccessary in my optical equipment set.

Jul 12, 2015Great little tool!
Pros:Lightweight,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:These are great little tools to have on hand for taking away smudges to your EPs; and your scope's glass! Just lightly use the brush at first then use the circular pad to lightly rub out any small smudges you may have. I use it on my EPs; my scope's glass; and my camera lens. I however don't think large sections of big areas on a scopes glass would be wise. But small fingerprint smudges it does the trick!

Feb 8, 2013Nice little eyepiece cleaner
Pros:Compact,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:The lens pen works wonders on eyepieces. I would however recommend you buy at least 2 or 3 a month because it picks up stuff along the way and can deposit debris back onto other eyepieces possibly causing scratches. When I clean my eyepieces, I first use a blower bulb, then the brush from the lens pen, then the blower bulb again. After that, I use a small drip of my own cleaning solution in a Kodak cleaning bottle applied to the end of a Q-tip and I swirl it around to get any debris off. I then use the blower bulb to dry the lens off and I do a final cleaning with the lens pen and it turns out very clean!
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Just remember to replace these every 2-3 times per month and you'll be ok.This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Jun 30, 2007Great tool for cleaning eyepieces
Pros:Effective, cheap, portable
Cons:None
Comments:This nice accessory has a brush for getting the big stuff off your eyepiece, and it also has a special tip that cleans the eyepiece lens without leaving a residue. It is too small for use on a scope's main objective lens, but the small size of the cleaning tip makes it possible to clean even small eyepieces fairly easily and without leaving lint from a cleaning cloth. Being in the form of a "pen" also makes it easy to carry around in a shirt pocket if need be. It also is fairly cheap. I have been using mine for about year without any problems so far.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Great for quick and good cleaning of your eyepieces.Sort by
