Wish you could still get this series
Pros:Excellent eye relief and high light transmission
Cons:Eye position critical to avoid kidney bean
Comments:I have had the 28mm and the 8mm for over 20 years. I got them with my Astroscan telescope. I have moved on from the Astroscan (still use it though) but I still use these 2 eyepieces in my SCT. Light transmission is optimal because the RKE only uses 3 lenses. Takes a while to get used to positioning the eye to avoid black outs. I rate it higher than an orthoscopic in optical viewing.
