Fujinon FMT SX 7X50 Binoculars
Pros:Very well made; must be the highest quality and glass; Good name
Cons:Very, very heavy and very expensive
Comments:This reviewer has been lucky lately in borrowing for a night of viewing some excellent eyepieces and this incredible pair of binoculars. The night of 8/07 here in New Jersey was first rate even with New York City close by. Near black background and total pin point stars out to about 75%. The balance 25% was nearly as good. I was totally impressed. After looking at the paper work the stats I could find are as follows: Field of View 7.3 degrees, waterproof to 5 meters, BAK4 prisms (Porro), eye relief 23mm, near focus 15 feet. The weight is 53 oz. Thats 3-1/2 pounds! Cost between $500 and $550 or thereabouts.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Fits well into the hand, but boy, is this one heavy binocular for only 7 power. My impression is that this is one very well built binocular and I'm told a lifetime warranty goes with each unit. If you have some extremely deep pockets, this may be the only binocular you need.Sort by
