GSO's Kellner eyepieces offer an affordable foray into the world of widefield 2" eyepieces without breaking the bank. These are very good, 3-element, fully multi-coated eyepieces that provide very good flatness of field and eye relief. They feature rubber grips on the housing and foldable rubber eyeguards for comfortable handling and use. All eyepieces have blackened lens edges for improved contrast, and come with two end caps. GSO Kellner eyepieces are available in 3 focal lengths (26mm, 32mm and 40mm). Sold separately. Made in Taiwan.

Cons: Comments:This is a good quality, lightweight 2" eyepiece, with a nice wide field. I used it on F9 and F10 refractors, and the edge of field star images were excellent. ... probably "not so much" for an F4 newtonian, but great for SCT's and medium to long focus refractors. Both the field and eye lenses are huge and the coating look very good. The nice coating and the fact that there are only 3 lens elements gives a nice, bright image.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
In most scopes a 40 mm eyepiece will give a fairly large exit pupil, so if you have astigmatism you'll need your glasses. Not to worry, this eyepiece has plenty of eye relief for glasses and a nice rubber eyecup to block out the peripheral light.
Another pleasant surprise is the light weight. For anyone used to handling the multi-element 3 pound hand grenades from other producers, this eyepiece is incredible light weight. It won't knock your scope out of balance.
Downside: It's probably not going to work as well in faster scopes. Also, you won't be able to impress anyone with how much you paid for it.
If you want a very nice wide field 2" eyepiece that's good quality and inexpensive for a slower scope, this is a gem.This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
