5.0 Awesome travel scope with exceptional specs

      Pros:

      Easy to Use,Compact,Quality Lenses,Lightweight,Strong Construction,Accurate,Incredible Scope

      Cons:

      Comments:

I am a first time customer at Agena Astroproducts and I am incredibly impressed with the speed that the items devilered, the cheapest pricings, and most of all, the remarkable quality of service. As a first time customer I was nervous that maybe the store was too good to be true, but it wasn't. So thanks for the great set up, Agena!
With regards to the product, I cannot praise the Lightbridge Mini 130 enough. The Lightbridge is compact, enabling travel to myriad places, the apperture is a good versatile 5 inches, which allows for seeing relatively detailed views of many deep space objects (My favorite view so far is of Ring Nebula), and the optics are above average, allowing for the clearest views the telescope can offer. I cannot recommend this scope enough as a rising astronomer (I outgrew my starter scope and moved onto this one) and love the ability to see many elusive deep space objects I could have never dreamed of seeing on my old scope. Go out and buy a Lightbridge Mini 130! Its specs are incredible for the size!

      5.0 Great value

      Pros:

      Lightweight,Lightbridge Mini 130,Quality Lenses,Accurate,Compact,Easy to Use

      Cons:

      Comments:

I recently purchased one of these scopes. I am not dissapointed. A parabolic 130mm F5 is really fast. I love tabletop dobsonians and this is exactly what I was waiting for. It has a dovetail for easily mounting to tripods should you want to do that. The red dot finderscope is of a good quality. It has a good view area and dials to align it. It does not compare to a Telrad but it is definitely usable. The altitude tensioner works smoothly. It can be tightened without pushing the aim off target. The entire scope is very light. Twenty lbs is very manageable. The primary has a center circle so collimation is a breeze. The collimation knobs stand off and are real easy to adjust. I really enjoy wide field fast F5 and under scopes. This is my new favorite. There are only two flaws that I can see needing improvement. One, the focuser stands off a bit much. If you use barlows, and for certain you will to achieve higher focal lengths, you will need a shorty style. Using a barlow and eyepiece ends up 12" or more from the scope. Seems rather steep. The second issue I have is, like most of these scope types, there is no preset holes or hardware to adapt the base to tripods etc. overall, I absolutely love this telescope. I will imagine that it will continue to get very positive reviews and I do not think there is a better dobsonian on the market at this price.
