I've used this eyepiece extensively in my 120mm f/8.3 refractor and its performance is superb. This eyepiece has virtually the same throughput and contrast as the venerable Meade RG 7mm ortho. But it offers better eye relief for the same given field that the ortho offers. To see the whole field of view the eye relief is close to that of the ortho. This is one of my favorite eyepieces for planets, the moon and planetary nebulae as well as small globular clusters. It is very sharp from the center to very near the edge in my scope.
