Does okay for a small finder
Pros:Decent quality, good performance, cheap
Cons:Small aperture
Comments:This finder came with my scope and is similar to the Celestron 6 x 30. Both perform fairly well, although the view is a bit narrow. You can see a good amount of stars to help you find your target, and having a straight-through finder can be an advantage. I now use this finder on my guide scope, and there it works just fine. For this purpose, there is really no need for a bigger finder. There are other finders that cost far more and have great optics, but for the purpose of a finder scope these simple finders do okay.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
If you really like to star hop for deep space objects, then a bigger finder might be a better choice, but otherwise these little finders do a good job at helping you get to your target. If it came with your scope, then keep it. It you are thinking about purchasing a finder for your scope, then you might be better off with a bigger finder.Sort by
