Great case for scope transport
Pros:Durable, air and water tight, pick-n-pluck foam
Cons:Pricey
Comments:I got one pelican 1650 case which came with foam inserts and then got an extra set of foam inserts. With this, I have been able to simply switch out foam inserts to be able to transport 1 of my 2 scopes at a time. It has wheels and a pull-out handle which make transport a bit easier, but with either the C8 or the FS102 I am still able to carry it by the main handle on the side. It is of excellent quality and construction and does a good job keeping the dust out and the scope protected during transport. The pick-n-pluck foam is easy to use and can be cut vertically to accommodate almost anything.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
These are great cases that do a good job protecting your gear, although there are cheaper alternatives available. Some have even used storage bins from Target or other stores and just added their own foam. But the Pelican case can keep out dirt and water and can also be placed on an airplane if you intend to travel that way.Sort by
