I had a 5mw laser pointer and was not happy with it so I decided to get a different one. I ran across the Smart Astronomy 20mw laser pointer. The price was good so I ordered it. Upon arrival I was impressed by the quality of the construction. It came with 2 AA batteries which I immediately replaced with lithium batteries. Well, just as it was getting dark and the first few stars started to show (dusk) I could already make out the beam. Once it was fully dark the beam was intense, just very, very bright. If you ever find yourself pointing things in the night sky out to others this is a great tool, and quite educational in itself. My old laser would dim to nothing in the cold, and the cold does not seem to affect my new 20mw laser. This laser comes with a nice little case.
