Some of the time you don't even need to turn it on as just having it mounted will help prevent the dew. But for the nights it's really dewey, it works great, fits nice, and easilly rolls over out of the way.

Simple, Easy, Just Works
This is an excellent, low cost dew solution. I use it for all-night time lapse photography. Keeps my fisheye dew-free. But watch out, this uses 0.6 Amps. Use it for 8 hrs and you have depleted your typical 7 A-hr battery.

Not a power hog I was thinking it was going to be I have 2 one for my scope and one for the finder scope. I had a really bad night for dewing up everything was soked but my lenses stayed clear and they didn't drain my power box.
